Swedish Industrialist Wallenberg Warns Against Wealth Taxes
Financial Times reports[1] that Swedish industrialist Jacob Wallenberg of Investor Aktiebolag has opined that the new tax proposals raised[2] during the Swedish political elections risk hampering Sweden’s technology startup scene and encourage relocations of (U)HNWIs.
Voting is due to be held over the weekend on Sunday, the 13th of September, 2026.
The left-wing party Social Democrats currently in opposition was previously forecasted to be in the lead, but the gap has narrowed over the last week in the lead up to the election day[3].
